Drain Cleaning And Clogged Drains In Las Vegas
One slow drain is a nuisance. Two fixtures backing up at the same time is a warning. The difference tells you whether the problem is under the sink or out in the main line, and it decides everything about how the job is approached.

The short answer
Drain cleaning clears a blocked line and, when the blockage repeats, finds out why. A single slow sink is usually a local clog. More than one fixture backing up at once points at the main line, and that is a different job with a different tool.
Is this you?
Signs You Need This
- A sink or tub that drains slowly and then stops draining
- Gurgling from one fixture when you use another
- Water coming up in a shower when the toilet flushes
- A smell from a drain that does not clear
- The same drain blocking again within weeks of being cleared
- The washing machine backing up into a laundry tub
If that is not quite it: If more than one fixture is affected at once, or waste is coming back into the building, that is a main line or sewer problem. Go to sewer line services, and stop running water in the meantime.

How it runs
How The Work Goes
- Identify how many fixtures are affectedThis is the single question that decides local against main line.
- Clear from the correct accessCleanout where there is one. Pulling a toilet to reach a main is a last resort, not a first move.
- Test under real flowRunning a tap proves nothing. The line is tested with volume.
- Camera it if it has happened beforeA repeat blockage has a physical cause, and guessing at it is how it becomes a standing appointment.
What it costs
What Moves The Price
We do not publish a price list, because a real number depends on what is actually wrong. What we can tell you is exactly what the quote will turn on.
- Whether there is an accessible cleanout, which changes both time and method
- The cause: hair and soap, kitchen grease, scale, roots or a structural fault
- Whether cabling is enough or the line needs jetting to actually clean the wall
- Whether a camera inspection is needed to stop the problem repeating
How the estimate works. The cause gets diagnosed first, then you get the price for the work before it starts. Where repair and replacement are both reasonable, you see both numbers rather than one.
The service call. The diagnostic and callout policy is quoted on the phone before anyone is dispatched, including whether it is credited toward the work. Ask when you call, and you will get a straight answer rather than a figure invented for a web page.

The Questions People Actually Ask
Will a store bought drain chemical work?
On a hair clog in a bathroom sink, sometimes. On a grease line or a main, no, and caustic product sitting in a blocked line is a hazard for whoever opens it next. Tell us if you have used any.
Why does the same drain keep blocking?
Because cabling punches a hole through a blockage rather than removing it, and a coated pipe re closes. Jetting cleans the wall. A camera tells you if the cause is structural instead.
Is snaking bad for my pipes?
Correctly sized cabling is not. Forcing an oversized head into a line with a collapsed section is, which is another reason a repeat blockage gets a camera first.
Can you clear it from the roof vent?
It is possible and it is rarely the right access. A proper cleanout gets a better result with less risk to the line.

Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
One drain is slow. Is that urgent?
No. A single slow fixture is a local clog and it can wait for a scheduled visit. Two or more at once cannot.
What causes most kitchen drain clogs?
Grease, which cools and coats the pipe wall, then catches everything after it. Pouring hot water after it moves the problem further down the line rather than removing it.
Why do I need a camera inspection?
Only when the line blocks repeatedly. A camera separates a soft blockage from roots, a belly or a broken section, and that is the difference between clearing it again and fixing it.
Does hard water clog drains?
It contributes. Scale from very hard water builds on the inside of drain lines and narrows them, and Las Vegas Valley water is classed very hard at 17 grains per gallon.
Should I use a drain cleaner before calling?
Preferably not, and if you already have, say so. It changes how the line is opened safely.
Can you clear a main line without a cleanout?
Usually yes, but access is worse and it takes longer. If your home has no accessible cleanout, adding one is worth pricing.
