Accessibility Statement

Our aim

We want this website to be usable by everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or voice control. We target the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 at Level AA as our standard.

What we have done

• Semantic HTML throughout, with one main heading per page and heading levels that do not skip.
• A skip to content link as the first focusable element on every page.
• Visible focus indicators on every interactive element.
• Touch targets of at least 48 by 48 pixels, which is stricter than the guideline minimum.
• Form fields with real associated labels rather than placeholder text standing in for them.
• Text alternatives on every meaningful image, and decorative graphics marked so assistive technology skips them.
• Browser zoom is never disabled, and the layout works at 200 percent.
• Off screen navigation and hidden controls are made inert as well as hidden, so they are not reachable by keyboard while invisible.
• Reduced motion preferences are respected.
• Frequently asked questions use native disclosure elements, so answers are present in the page for assistive technology whether or not they are expanded.

Known limitations

We test with automated tooling and keyboard navigation. Automated testing does not catch everything, and we have not completed a full assistive technology audit with every screen reader and browser combination.
